Abstract :
A new stability parameter, mu (S), is defined for linear 2-port circuits. It is shown that mu >1 alone is necessary and sufficient for the circuit to be unconditionally stable. This single parameter can replace the traditional Rollet condition K>1, which requires that an additional auxiliary condition be met for absolute stability.<>
