Abstract
A simplified field theory formulation is presented for analyzing microstrip T-junctions. The computed junction scattering parameters, magnitude and phase are in good agreement with experimental results. The formulation is extended to analyze a microwave transfer switch realized by cascading a number of microstrip T-junctions. Numerical results are presented for a transfer switch designed at 5 GHz.<>
