Abstract :
Summary form only given. In trace gas detection by using absorption spectroscopy widely tunable narrow linewidth mid-infrared light sources are needed. We report what we believe to be the first realization of a continuously tunable DFG spectrometer with a mode hop free tuning range of more than 200 nm. The spectrometer consists of a continuously tunable external cavity laser with a mode-hop free tuning range from 799-816 nm with a maximum output power of 4 mW.
