Abstract :
A 252kV High Voltage SF6 circuit breaker (HV SF6 CB) is taken as an example in this paper, CC method and Wolf algorithm are applied to identify the chaotic characteristic of the electric field during the breaking process, and it is shown that the chaos phenomena exists in the variation of the electric field strength, especially each observation points exist chaos. And the distribution of the chaotic characteristic in the electric field has the consistency and uniformity feature. Compared with the gas flow characteristic during the breaking process, the prediction of the discharge possibility and insulation weakness is found.
