Abstract
By now wide-area measurement system (WAMS) has been widely used in many power systems. The load characteristics data are essential for measurement-based load modeling. So the feasibility of load modeling based on WAMS need be researched. In this paper, the uploading data from phasor measurement unit (PMU) and local fault recording data of PMU were used to identify the parameters of composite load model separately. Simulation results indicate that WAMS based composite load model has higher veracity than traditional static load model. For real-time load modeling, the trajectory sensitivity method was used to reducing the identified parameters of composite load model. The validity of reduction method was illustrated by a case of measurement-based composite load modeling.
