Abstract :
Circuit breaker is the most important control and protection equipment in power system, and one of the equipment is the high-voltage circuit breaker which has large number, big maintenance volume and high cost. Blindness of the periodic maintenance system is easy to introduce new fault risks, reduce device reliability. To ensure the safe operation of electrical equipment, it is necessary to run fault diagnosis for high voltage circuit breaker. In this paper, the first assignment is the design of hardware of failure monitoring module. The structure with dual-MCU which built up of DSP and dual-CPU structure is used as the intelligent diagnostic module, so that quickly determine and response can be made when sudden fault happens. It also has the advantage of low cost, low power consumption and high data processing capability. In Software, using the diagnostic expert system which based on the RBF neural network can make a rapidly diagnose for variety of faults, can add the new type of confirmed fault to the knowledge base. It effectively solves the problem that expert system knowledge is difficult to obtain.
