Abstract :
Management literature prescribes learning as a source of continuous improvement of innovation process in companies. However, the nature of relationships between learning and innovation is less certain. This paper investigates the role of organizational learning capability in improving the innovation process within Indonesia´s most reputable organization across all of its diverse subsidiary companies. A survey was conducted to help better understand and more systematically study this role. The data were collected from a sample of 82 top management executives obtained from 31 subsidiary companies. The results of this research show that organizational learning play a critically important role in enhancing the effectiveness of innovation value chain and should be viewed as a unitary process.
