Abstract
In this paper, a new adaptive filtering algorithm is proposed to remove speckle in SAR images. This method differentiates the detail edge information from the noisy images based on scale space correlation. The Wiener filter is used to deal with the edge information of points and the Bayesian soft threshold is applied to the noisy points in homogeneous areas to reduce speckle. After processed with this algorithm, SAR images can not only achieve a satisfactory despeckling effect but also show good performance in preserving details and texture information.
