Abstract :
In order to make research and development more efficient as well as lower cost, we have successfully proposed a systematic design process for designers. By the theory of inventive problem-solving and systematic controlling variables method controlling different variables are divided into three stages: primary innovation, secondary innovation, and tertiary innovation, consequently. Besides, based on technology analysis, we also have optimized the design in each stage. To illustrate the systematic process, there is a case study that a novel multi-functional optical film designed by the systematic process could improve the existing patent of a backlight module.
