Information communication technology and corporate competitiveness management: Empirical evidence of the financial industry in Mainland China

With the aid of information Communication technology (ICT), decision makers can enhance their management capability and strengthen their competitiveness. Through investing and applying ICT, management for enterprise competiveness can be strengthened in China. Several literatures pointed out that ICT investment does provide positive impact for financial industrial competiveness. Rising countries such as China, its financial industry plays a vital role during their economy growth period. Therefore, our main focuses include: 1. The economic effects of ICT investment of Chinese financial industry; 2. The effects of investment of ICT hardware and ICT software on industrial competitiveness of Chinese financial industry. Experimental result shows that investment on ICT software contributes to the increasing competitiveness of Chinese financial industry along with increasing returns to scale.
