Abstract
As a new device for power quality improvement, UPQC can deal with voltage and current quality problems. In order to minimize unit volume and lower the cost, this paper has researched on a typical voltage drop with phase jump and three-phase rectifier load conditions to optimize the energy. By adjusting voltage phase and controlling amplitude and phase of the target current function, the average active power of load will be provided entirely by the power grid, and also the active power exchange between UPQC and grid will be minimized. At the same time, in order to prevent the voltage waveform interruption of the load, a gradient control method is used. Simulation results confirm the validity and feasibility of the method.
