Abstract :
The pulsed fast and thermal neutron analysis (PFTNA) is a well known “neutron in - gamma out” non destructive characterization method. The possibility to determine the elements present in an inspected volume makes this technique very attractive. Since the last few years, the Nuclear Measurement and Treatment Laboratory of CEA Bruyères le châtel, France is studying applications for homeland security. Last achievements for theses applications, in particular acquisition of gamma signatures for all elements of interest are presented.
