Abstract :
AC-Stark splitting plays an important role in optically pumped gas lasers, especially in the case of a miniature OPFIRL pumped by a TEA-CO 2 laser. The characteristics of the AC-Stark spectrum in NH 3-OPFIRL were studied, as an example. The transition a→´sQ(5,4) of the 291 μm line was presented. The AC-Stark splitting depends upon the operating gas pressure and pumping power. Usually, the Raman processes are sensitive to the pumping power and gas pressure, so that the Raman line of the AC-Stark splitting changes rapidly. It dominates the spectral characteristics and output performance of the OPFIRL
