Abstract :
With rapid deployment of new services and increasing competitive pressure have come new challenges in the telecommunications management arena. This paper presents an evolved service maintenance platform intended to streamline, simplify and automate network management operations. A unified Business Maintenance Platform (BMP) for AT&T voice and data services is a key enabler for supporting AT&T continuous commitment to quality of service (QoS). The BMP is critical to the seamless and cost effective integration of voice, data and frame relay services and provides a flexible platform to encompass local, ATM, wireless services and new services in the future
