Abstract :
China high-speed railway´s traction transformer has higher voltage level than the normal-speed railway and has different connection and load condition from power system transformers. Based on the special requirements of traction power supply system of high-speed railway, main protection, backup protection, protection dual configuration and other issues related to traction transformer are analyzed. As a consequence, a protection scheme for traction transformer of high-speed railway is given.
