Abstract :
We describe experimental results of sub-microsecond time transfer using the one way broadcast of Standard Time and Frequency Signals (STFS) via INSAT. These are in good agreement with our earlier model computations. We also describe a technique to determine the position coordinates of the geostationary satellite INSAT-1D based on multistation recordings of the error residuals of the STFS time transfer.
