Abstract :
A novel stacked CP patch antenna with broadband performance is developed and discussed in this paper. We increased the air substrate and used two long coaxial probes to feed the antenna in order to gain broadband CP performance. A hybrid coupler was welded on the feeding circuit to generate two orthogonal modes with 90° phase difference. The measured results show that the antenna have an impedance bandwidth of 28% (VSWR≤2) from 2.18 Ghz to 2.89 Ghz. The antenna shows stable CP characteristics in its impedance band with the axial ratio of no more than 2.
