Abstract :
Characteristics on temperature profiles of no premixed combustion in porous media were investigated experimentally. Ignition start-up process and stability were discussed at the certain operating parameters. Influences of fuel-air ratio on the temperature profiles were analyzed in details, in addition to the velocity. The results showed that stable start-up can be obtained at the certain operating conditions, and combustion gases flow-in ways and position have much influence on the ignition start-up. Compared with velocity of combustion gas, the ratio of air to fuel has much more influence on the temperature profiles. Temperatures at upstream of combustion zones rise up gradually with the ratio decreasing, and temperatures at downstream are right opposites. Stable combustion appears at the high ratio. Two combustion zones will appear in the combustor when the ratio decreases to a certain value. And the combustion zone will completely appear at the upstream of porous media if the ratio is further low.
