Abstract :
An efficient membership function circuit for the analog VLSI implementation of fuzzy controllers and for piecewise linear approximation is discussed. It is an analog BiCMOS circuit that approximates a triangular function with programmable height, slope and horizontal position. The circuit is very compact and operates on ±1.65 V supplies. Experimental results of a test chip are presented
