Abstract
A CMOS second-order lowpass active-RC filter with voltage input and current output is presented. The mechanisms of harmonic distortion generation within the active circuit is detailed, along with techniques for reducing the distortion in the design. Calculated distortion levels from the analysis, along with simulated distortion levels are presented, for filters designed in a 0.8 μm CMOS process
