Abstract
The latest developments of plasma physics understanding of relevance to ITER are being assembled by an international group of experts and will be part of an ITER Physics Basis document. These latest results are being summarized in a set of Physics Rules and implemented in various 1-1/2D transport codes within the ITER parties to study numerically the expected plasma performance of the ITER device and develop the range of scenarios that will be needed to achieve these performances
