Abstract :
We propose a medium access control (MAC) protocol for networks that integrated TD-SCDMA and Ad hoc networks. The protocol is collision-free and TD-SCDMAand operates under dynamic and distributed circumstances; it can improve channel utilization rate and increase the number of nodes simultaneously accessible to channel by combining control channel and transmission channel in one slot, and each channel is represented by different spreading codes. In this protocol, terminal node can achieve natural cellular communication and operate in ad hoc networks. Thus, the networks can efficiently expand the coverage of the mobile communication system and balance traffic loads. The performance analysis result shows that the proposed scheme proves to achieve good performance in terms of average access probability, throughput and average access delay.
