Abstract :
Interference is the main factor that limits capacity of wireless sensor networks. People always consider the interference due to exposed nodes and hidden nodes, however, the interference outside of communication range also influence the data reception. In three-dimension wireless networks, this interference is too serious to be neglected. The paper discusses all the interference in three-dimension wireless sensor networks, gives a formulation about the relationship between interference and the scale of networks, and proposes a media access method which abates interference greatly and assures nodes to successfully receive packets with high probability.
