Abstract :
In this research, the alternatively structured higher performance practical OTA-based floating inductor which requires four OTAs i.e. 4-OTA based floating inductor, which has been found to be practically far superior to its 3-OTA counterpart, has been studied and its practically applicable passive equivalent circuit model, where the effects of both major OTA´s nonidealities entitled parasitic elements and finite opened-loop bandwidth respectively, have been taken into account, has been proposed. This research has been performed based upon the often cited monolithic CMOS technology. The resulting model has been found to be excellently accurate with considerably very small average error. The proposed passive equivalent circuit model has been found to be a convenience tool for the design of any analog and mixed signal circuits e.g. filters and oscillator etc.
