Abstract :
In this paper, a carrier recovery algorithm for high-order cross-QAM has been proposed, in which less than twelve symbol points in the constellation have been used. The proposed algorithm can be applied to square QAM signals as well. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can deal with carrier frequency offset up to 600 KHz@32QAM or 400 KHz@128QAM over AWGN channels when the bit rate is 5 Mbit/s. The simulation experiments are also done for 64QAM and 256QAM signals, and results show that the proposed algorithm has good performance over a large acquisition span of frequency.
