Abstract :
Selective relaying periodically selects one single relay with the best channel quality to participate the communication between source and destination. When OFDM is used as the physical layer technique in the network, a new problem is how to select the best relay since independent subcarriers may have different channel conditions. Several schemes have been presented, while their capacities are still unknown. This paper investigates the capacity of OFDM based two-hop regenerative wireless networks with optimal selective relaying in theory. Simulation results validate theoretical analysis. Furthermore, capacities in more practical and suboptimal cases are also simulated and analyzed.
