Abstract :
Thermal radiation calorimetry (TRAC) has been applied to the thermal conduction measurement of insulating solid specimens. The measurement of a temperature difference between two specimen surfaces at elevated temperatures caused by the finite thermal conductivity has been performed without touching the specimen. Deviations of the estimated thermal conductivity were about 5% from the recommended values for the Pyrex glass and the Pyroceram specimens in the temperature region between 250 and 800°C
