Abstract
In this paper an adjustable determinant pairing scheduling (ADPS) algorithm is proposed for virtual MIMO (multiple input and multiple output) in uplink 3G LTE (long term evolution) system. The key technique of virtual MIMO is the user pairing algorithm. Traditional pairing algorithms do not take into account the influence of slow fading. They cannot achieve the maximum throughput. The proposed ADPS algorithm can overcome this deficiency. It considers both fast fading and slow fading. Moreover, it can adjust the influence of SNR (signal to noise ratio) on UE (user equipment) pairing result. Simulation results show that ADPS can provide higher throughput compared to traditional pairing algorithms and it also gives more flexibility to adjust the throughput of cell and the fairness between UEs.
