Abstract :
This paper introduces a new hybrid control policy called BCK policy (the superposition of Base Stock, CONWIP, and Kanban). According to BCK policy, the wheel trim production line with four stages in series is modeled by Petri net. And the model is simulated by Arena simulation software package version 7.0. The performance of BCK policy against other policies is compared through simulation experiments. The simulation results show that BCK policy has better performance comparing to other policies. When circumstance varies, BCK policy shows better stability and robustness. It is particularly suited to the current volatile environment and deserves our full attention.
