Abstract :
A small wideband CPW-fed monopole antenna for SDR mobile communication system has been developed. The antenna has a wide bandwidth ranging from 800 MHz to 3000 MHz for S11 <; -10 dB, with a stable omnidirectional radiation pattern. Various tactical SDR communication services band as well as few commercial bands such as GSM, IMT-2000, UMT, S WiBro, WLAN, and DMB are easily covered simultaneously by the proposed antenna. In this paper, details of the proposed antenna design approach and measured results are presented and discussed.
