Abstract
This paper presents an application of fuzzy logic to the stabilization of an electric AC power system. A fuzzy stabilizer loop is used to control a phase-shift transformer which provides both magnitude and phase angle change through thyristor commutation. It is presented some simulation results in comparative terms between a traditional stabilizer and the fuzzy stabilizer
