Abstract
We deal with the problem of uncertain information combination through the framework of possibility theory. We focus our interest on an adaptive combination rule, that is the applied combination mode adapts itself to the amount of conflict existing between different measures. Before combining two possibility distributions, we decompose each of them over simpler basic forms and we establish two new formulations of this adaptive rule
