Abstract :
This paper investigates following Zhang´s procedure the study the spin accumulation resulted from the spin Hall effect. The procedure is that firstly the electron distribution is in the absence of the spin-orbital coupling and then the spin-orbit coupling by an anomalous term in current is included. Zhang started with the spin-diffusion equation derived from the Boltzmann transport equation, but this paper begins with the effective mean-free-path model equivalent to the Boltzmann transport equation model. In the calculations, the scattering from the boundary effect is considered, the spin-flip scattering is neglected, and the assumption is unnecessary that the anomalous Hall conductivity is much smaller than the Drude conductivity.
