Abstract :
A novel type of granular composite magnetic core, exhibiting high flux density and low eddy current losses, is fabricated in this study by plating which combines the merits of metal magnetic materials with those of ferrites. The Permalloy microspheres are encapsulated in single phase NiZn ferrite layer as revealed by FESEM and X-ray diffraction. It is found that the saturation magnetisation and magnetic permeability of the composite cores increased with increasing pH.
