Abstract
Aimed at the lack and limit in the design of a small warship-based electro-optical theodolite with traditional method, a method for using a mathematics platform for image stabilization based on strapdown inertial navigation system (SINS) is adopted. Based on the analytic model of line of sight (LOS) stabilization, the paper takes advantage of SINS to improve the system performance of acquisition and tracking and pointing (ATP) on mobile pedestal. It can eliminate the steady-state angle error of LOS pointing dynamic without tracker feedback. Object track forecast is transformed from board coordinate to earth coordinate, it can improve tracking performance and make image quality unaffected by LOS shake. According to the analytic model of LOS rotation, the design can eliminate image rotation based on SINS. This system which has been successfully applied in domestic for the first time can meet the requirement of working under bad sea condition.
