Abstract :
As the rapid development on power line communication, broadband over power line (BPL) communication become a new research hotspot in the field of communications. But as the loads in electric distribution network change frequently, it makes the communication channel and logical topology of BPL networks change as well. Therefore, the ordinary routing algorithms in computer networks cannot meet requirements to transmit packets in the broadband power-line network. In this paper, first, the physical topology and network logical topology of MV/LV electric distribution networks is given. Finally, the current research of routing protocols in BPL networks is summarized.
