Abstract :
Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) have gone mainstream. No longer are applications limited to performance and cost insensitive designs. The newest generation of FPGAs have hit performance and cost goals which allow a much wider spectrum of applications support. This paper provides an overview of these types of applications and project future performance and cost for FPGA devices
