Abstract :
An improved phase unwrapping algorithm based on quality-guided is presented. In an optical 3D sensing technology with structure light projection, phase unwrapping is an unavoidable and critical step. For a complex object especially with discontinuities, the exiting quality-guided algorithm is not efficient enough. An improved phase unwrapping algorithm which minimizes the cost along the path of unwrapping is presented. Two restrictions are proposed to guided the path of phase unwrapping and to avoid it crossing the edge. Both computer verification and experiment demonstration are all presented. The result shows that with the restrictions the new algorithm is robust and reliable on discontinuous object.
