The Key Factors Affecting Technological Innovation in Shaoxing´ Textile Industry

The study explores the key factors of technological innovation risk in Shaoxing´ textile industry. Based on survey of 51 projects in 21 textile companies in Shaoxing which is one of the most important textile industry centers in china, two categories of the key factors are concluded: the market factors and the technical feature factors. The market factors include market potential, competitors and potential changes in customers´ needs; the technical factors are as follows: immature technology, the introduction of technology and equipment did not play its due role, lack of internal technicians, high degree of technical complexity, lagging behind technical development and excessive dependence on external technology sources.
