The following topics were dealt with: for underwater vehicles, navigation and guidance, robust multivariable control design, on-board command and control functions, and terrain following using neural nets; and for airborne vehicles, gust-insensitive flight dynamics, optimal control for surveillance, longitudinal control, and use of the Global Positioning System
