Abstract
This paper first presents a brief overview of two Layer 2 VPN technologies, the PBB and the H-VPLS. Along with the classification of the service requirement in power data network, the application of VPN technology in power data network has been analyzed. At last, this paper designs the solution of PBB interoperating with H-VPLS VPN in power data network, which enhances power data network scalability by deploying PBB access network in customer´s network and fully use existing power backbone network MPLS technology at the same time.
