Abstract
The paper presents an analysis of the energy flux corresponding to propagating modes in a circular waveguide consisting of uniaxial anisotropic chiral metamaterial, the outer surface of the guide being assumed to be coated with a PEMC (perfect electromagnetic conductor) medium. It is to be recalled that the case of PEMC is a generalization of the cases corresponding to PEC (perfect electric conductor) and PMC (perfect magnetic conductor). The dispersion relation of the guide is derived by using suitable boundary conditions. The propagation of negative energy flux through the guide is explored, which exists due to the backward wave propagation in PEMC bounded uniaxial anisotropic chiral metamaterial.
