            Abstract : 
AODV on-demand routing protocol is widely deployed in ad hoc network, but it has some drawbacks. This paper proposes an improved AODV protocol called AODV-I. By adding the congestion processing to the RREQ message and the routing repair mechanism to the RREQ message, the new protocol not only reduces the packet loss rate and the end-to-end latency, but also enhances the utilization rate of the network resources. Finally, we analyze the performance through simulation experiment.
