Abstract
Describes a simple method to reduce the number of resonators in duplexer design. This reduction can be accomplished by inserting attenuation poles into all resonators and spreading the attenuation poles over the passband of the opposite bandpass filter. The simulated results for a UHF duplexer designed by this method show the validity of the proposed method. Also, the simulated results are compared with that of Matsumoto and Nishikawa (1993) who used more resonators
