Abstract
In this article, a series of biographical interviews with technical researchers who have appreciably impacted the THz community in a positive manner is presented. An innovator whose instrumentation is known, and has been used, by almost everyone in the THz RF community. The Martin-Puplett interferometer was derived from the Michelson optical design, but with one brilliant innovation-the use of a polarizing grid that turns a degenerate two port, into a truly useful four-port device that can perform widely tunable, narrow linewidth spectroscopy across the full far-infrared region.
