Abstract :
This paper introduces a combined receiver for satellite mobile communications. In order for the receiver to be adapted to a system with equalization but without a training sequence, self equalizer is used. The mathematical model of the satellite mobile communications channel assumes a shadowed Rician fading channel, and the research on this model is one of the issues in the field of satellite mobile communications. This paper simulates a model of the shadowed Rician fast fading channel for transmission of a TCM signal, and suggests a receiver which combines diversity, equalization, and carrier recovery to receive this signal. A simulated experiment shows the performance evaluation of this receiver
