Abstract :
To obtain the electromagnetic characteristics of 3D targets using FDTD method, the target model should be meshed. It is proposed that model files are preprocessed with the software 3ds max to get the triangular facets models of targets in obj format. The parity of intersections number method is introduced for meshing and the method of winding numbers is used to determine the position of intersections relative to triangular facets. In addition, visualization of meshing results is realized based on the open source software library OSG. At last, a meshing example and a simulation example are given. And results from FDTD method and commercial software CST are compared.
