Abstract :
A method of designing digital FIR transmitter and receiver filter pairs for data communication systems is presented. They have the property that their cascade is equivalent to a Nyquist filter and thereby satisfies the zero intersymbol interference constraint. In addition both filters have the same amplitude response in the frequency domain. Therefore the characteristic of cascaded filter has double-zeros in the stopband. The proposed technique is an iterative approximation and it is very simple
