            Abstract :
The current-perpendicular-to-the-plane giant-magnetoresistance (CPP-GMR) using a spin-valve (SV) structure is an attractive read sensor for high-density recording. CPP-GMR with an SV structure generally shows a small magnetoresistance (MR) ratio so many researchers are attempting to enhance it. In this paper, the authors investigated CPP-GMR using oxidized CoFe current screen layers of various CoFe compositions to vary the crystalline structure of current screen layer.
