Decision Making and Trial Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) methodology is adopted to classify and sort order the influencing factors among the importance and priority orders of influencing factors in the complicated supermarket site selection system using the expert opinions method. Population structure is found to be the crucial factor to decide the final decision making of supermarket site selection in the way of methodology. Then development trend of population structure and supermarket locations in Shanghai from 1990 to 2007 as a case study is analyzed which supports that in the way of reality data. Thus the complicated selecting system is simplified but the optimal supermarket site is still effectively and accurately chose.
